ARCEP, created by law n°2012-018 on electronic communications (LCE) of December 17, 2012 amended by law n°2013-003 of February 19, 2019 to regulate the electronic communications and postal markets, is a person corporation under public law with financial and management autonomy, operates the connection speed test materialized by an application for smartphones and tablets (available on iOS and Android platforms) as well as for computers (for Windows, Mac, Linux ) called MyPerf by ARCEP TOGO.MyPerf by ARCEP TOGO implements:- an online speed and latency test, for ADSL, VDSL, cable, fiber or satellite connection;- a speed, latency, browsing and streaming test (viewing multimedia files), for landline or cellular connections;- a measurement of the strength of the cellular signal received by the smartphones and tablets on which the Application has been downloaded.These tests make it possible to accurately determine the capacities, and therefore the quality, of the Users internet connections.
They also make it possible to produce maps of coverage and performance of cellular networks.
